Use the right APN for Visible — VSBLINTERNET is the current value
This guide covers the Visible Wireless profile for the United States. Visible runs on the Verizon network as an MVNO and publishes one primary APN: VSBLINTERNET.
Some devices and older guides reference vzwinternet (the Verizon parent APN). If VSBLINTERNET does not work on your phone, try vzwinternet as a fallback without changing any other fields.
On most modern phones Visible sends a carrier profile automatically. If the APN menu is greyed out, the profile is managed over the air and no manual change is needed.
APN fields
Visible Wireless APN starting point
| Field | Primary value | Fallback value | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name (Internet) | Visible | Visible Internet | This is only a label inside your phone. |
| APN | VSBLINTERNET | vzwinternet | Primary for Visible 4G LTE and 5G. Fallback uses the Verizon parent profile. |
| APN type | default,supl,mms | default,supl | Add ,dun if hotspot does not work. |
| Protocol | IPv4/IPv6 or device default | IPv4/IPv6 | Keep the device default when unsure. |
| Username and password | Not set | Not set | Visible does not require username or password. |
| MCC | 311 | 310 | 311 is the Visible MCC. 310 is the Verizon parent MCC if using vzwinternet. |
| MNC | 480 | 004 | 480 for Visible. 004 for Verizon if using vzwinternet. |
| MMSC | http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms | http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms | For MMS configuration. Some devices default to http://mms.visible.com. |
| MMS port | 80 | Not set | Only needed if MMS fails with the default. |
On many Visible-compatible phones the APN is configured automatically by the carrier profile. If you cannot edit the APN, the profile is managed over the air and no manual change is needed.
Setup
Setup steps for Android
- Open Settings, tap Network & Internet, then SIMs or Mobile Network.
- Select your Visible SIM and tap Access Point Names.
- If the APN menu is greyed out, Visible is managing the profile automatically — no changes needed.
- Tap the + icon to create a new APN, or edit the existing Visible profile.
- Enter VSBLINTERNET as the APN value. Set the APN type to default, supl, mms.
- Leave all other fields at their default. Do not set a username or password.
- Save the profile, select it if your phone asks, then disable WiFi for the test.
- Toggle airplane mode for ten seconds and open a browser before testing apps or hotspot.
Setup
Setup steps for iPhone
- Open Settings, tap Cellular, then Cellular Data Network.
- If you have an eSIM, tap the Visible line under Cellular Plans first.
- Enter VSBLINTERNET in the APN field for cellular data.
- Leave the username and password fields blank. Visible does not use them.
- For MMS, enter http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms in the MMSC field if visible.
- Go back, disable WiFi, toggle airplane mode and test in Safari.
Guide
Full setup and troubleshooting notes
Before changing the APN
Visible is a Verizon MVNO. On most phones compatible with Visible, the APN is configured automatically through a carrier profile. If your data works out of the box, you do not need to change anything.
If you are using an unlocked phone, a phone bought from another carrier, or a device that does not receive Visible carrier settings, you may need to set the APN manually.
Which APN value to use
Visible publishes VSBLINTERNET as its primary APN. Some phones and older documentation reference vzwinternet (the Verizon parent APN). The safe sequence is:
1. Try VSBLINTERNET first. It is the current official Visible APN. 2. If data does not work, switch to vzwinternet without changing other fields. 3. If MMS does not work, confirm the MMSC is set to http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms.
eSIM setup
Visible supports eSIM on compatible iPhones and Android devices. When you activate an eSIM with Visible, the carrier profile and APN are installed automatically. Manual APN editing is rarely needed with eSIM. If you run into issues, try toggling the eSIM off and on in Settings before editing the APN.
Hotspot configuration
Visible includes mobile hotspot on most plans. The same VSBLINTERNET APN works for hotspot. If hotspot does not work, edit the APN type to include ,dun (so it reads default, supl, mms, dun) and save. If you are using vzwinternet as your APN, hotspot should work without adding dun.
Testing your connection
After saving the APN, disable WiFi, toggle airplane mode for ten seconds, and test in a browser. If data works but MMS does not, check the MMSC value. If neither works, try the fallback APN vzwinternet.
Before contacting support
Final checks if data does not work
- Confirm the APN is set to VSBLINTERNET or vzwinternet.
- Set APN type to default, supl, mms and add ,dun if hotspot is the issue.
- On dual-SIM phones, confirm that the Visible line is selected for mobile data.
- Check that your Visible plan is active and not past the payment due date.
- Test outside or near a window to separate APN problems from weak signal.
- Toggle airplane mode for 10 seconds after every APN change before testing.
Questions
Visible Wireless APN questions
What APN does Visible Wireless use?
Visible Wireless uses VSBLINTERNET as the primary APN for 4G LTE and 5G data. If VSBLINTERNET does not work, try vzwinternet (the Verizon parent network APN) as a fallback.
Does Visible require a username or password for APN?
No. Visible does not require any username or password for mobile data, MMS, or hotspot.
What is the MMS setting for Visible?
The MMSC for Visible is http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms. On some devices http://mms.visible.com also works. Set the MMS port to 80 only if MMS fails with the default.
What APN does Visible use for hotspot?
The same APN VSBLINTERNET works for hotspot on most Visible plans. If hotspot does not work, add ,dun to the APN type field (default, supl, mms, dun).
Does Visible support 5G with the same APN?
Yes. Visible 5G uses the same APN as 4G LTE: VSBLINTERNET. No separate 5G APN is needed.
Why can't I edit the APN on my Visible phone?
Visible sends a carrier profile to most compatible phones. When the carrier profile is active, the APN menu is greyed out or locked. This is normal and means the APN is managed automatically.
Does Visible work with eSIM?
Yes. Visible supports eSIM on compatible devices. The APN is configured automatically during eSIM activation. Manual APN changes are rarely needed.
