Use the right APN for Mint Mobile — wholesale is the current value
This guide covers the Mint Mobile profile for the United States. Mint Mobile operates as an MVNO on the T-Mobile network and uses wholesale as its primary APN.
On most Mint Mobile compatible phones, the carrier profile and APN are configured automatically when you insert the SIM. If your data works out of the box, no manual changes are needed.
Manual APN configuration is needed when using an unlocked phone, after a network reset, or when the carrier profile does not load automatically.

Mint Mobile SIMs use the T-Mobile network wholesale APN. On many phones the APN is set automatically. If the APN menu is greyed out, the carrier profile is active and no manual change is needed.

Setup steps for Android
- Open Settings, tap Network & Internet, then SIMs or Mobile Network.
- Select your Mint Mobile SIM and tap Access Point Names.
- If the APN menu is greyed out, Mint Mobile is managing the profile automatically — no changes needed.
- Tap the + icon to create a new APN, or edit the existing Mint Mobile profile.
- Enter wholesale as the APN value. Set the APN type to default,supl,mms.
- Leave all other fields at their default. Do not set a username or password.
- Save the profile, select it if your phone asks, then disable WiFi for the test.
- Toggle airplane mode for ten seconds and open a browser before testing apps or hotspot.

Setup steps for iPhone
- Open Settings, tap Cellular, then Cellular Data Network.
- If you have an eSIM, tap the Mint Mobile line under Cellular Plans first.
- Enter wholesale in the APN field for cellular data.
- Leave the username and password fields blank. Mint Mobile does not use them.
- For MMS, enter http://mmsc.mobile.att.net in the MMSC field and proxy.mobile.att.net:80 in the MMS proxy field.
- Go back, disable WiFi, toggle airplane mode and test in Safari.

Before changing the APN
Mint Mobile is a T-Mobile MVNO. On most phones compatible with Mint Mobile, the APN is configured automatically through a carrier profile. If your data works out of the box, you do not need to change anything.
If you are using an unlocked phone, a phone bought from another carrier, or a device that does not receive Mint Mobile carrier settings, you may need to set the APN manually.
APN value
Mint Mobile uses wholesale as its primary APN. This is a standard T-Mobile MVNO APN that works across all Mint Mobile plans including 4G LTE and 5G.
eSIM setup
Mint Mobile supports eSIM on compatible iPhones and Android devices. When you activate a Mint Mobile eSIM, the carrier profile and APN are installed automatically. Manual APN editing is rarely needed with eSIM.
Hotspot configuration
Mint Mobile includes mobile hotspot on most plans. The same wholesale APN works for hotspot. If hotspot does not work, edit the APN type to include ,dun (so it reads default,supl,mms,dun) and save.
MMS configuration
Mint Mobile MMS uses the AT&T MMS gateway. Set the MMSC to http://mmsc.mobile.att.net and the MMS proxy to proxy.mobile.att.net:80. If MMS still does not work, try leaving the MMS proxy blank and testing again.
Testing your connection
After saving the APN, disable WiFi, toggle airplane mode for ten seconds, and test in a browser. If data works but MMS does not, check the MMSC and MMS proxy values. If neither works, confirm your Mint Mobile plan is active and your phone is compatible.
