Available balance check methods
Jio prepaid customers in India can check their balance using USSD codes, the MyJio app, or the Jio online portal. USSD codes are the fastest method and work on any phone without an internet connection.
Jio has dedicated codes for main balance, data balance, and plan details.

About Jio balance checks
Jio USSD codes explained

- `*1#`: Dedicated data balance check. Displays remaining high-speed data (MB/GB), post-FUP data, and any bonus data from recharges.
- `*121#`: My Jio plan details. Shows your active plan, unlimited data status, voice call allowance, and SMS balance.

MyJio app
The MyJio app (available on Android and iOS) provides complete account management: real-time balance display, daily data usage graph, call and SMS history, plan recommendations, and instant recharge via UPI, credit card, debit card, or net banking. The app also supports JioFiber and JioPostpaid management.
Data balance vs account balance
Jio plans are mostly bundled plans where you recharge with a specific plan amount that gives you a set amount of data, voice, and SMS for a validity period. Dial *333# for your overall plan status and *1# for detailed data balance. Unlike traditional prepaid, Jio does not have a separate talktime balance on bundled plans.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure your phone is connected to the Jio network (check for "Jio" or "Jio 4G" on your screen).
- Jio is a 4G/LTE-only network. If you are on 2G/3G, you may not receive USSD responses.
- If a USSD code returns no response, restart your phone and ensure VoLTE is enabled.
- If you recently recharged, wait up to 30 minutes for the balance to reflect before checking.
