One APN for every device type
Zong Pakistan uses the same APN value zonginternet across Android phones, iPhones, Windows Phone, Blackberry devices, and Huawei USB modems. You only need to enter this APN value and leave username, password, and advanced fields blank.
Zong also offers an automatic settings delivery via SMS: send "all" to 2161. You will receive a configuration message that applies the correct APN profile to your phone automatically.

Zong does not require username or password for internet access. If your phone shows these fields, leave them empty.

Auto setup
Automatic internet settings via SMS
- Open your phone messaging app.
- Create a new SMS message.
- Type "all" as the message body (without quotes).
- Send the message to 2161.
- You will receive a configuration SMS from Zong within 1-5 minutes.
- Open the message and tap Apply or Save to install the APN profile.
- Restart your phone and test mobile data with WiFi disabled.

Manual APN setup steps
- Open your device network settings and find Access Point Names (Android) or Cellular Data Network (iPhone).
- Create a new APN profile.
- Set Name to "Zong Internet" (label only).
- Set APN to "zonginternet" exactly as shown.
- Leave Username and Password blank.
- Set APN type to "default,supl" if the field is visible (Android).
- Save the profile and select it.
- Toggle airplane mode for 10 seconds, disable WiFi, and test browsing.

Balance transfer
Zong prepaid customers can transfer balance to other Zong numbers. Dial *123*<amount>*<recipient Zong number># and press call. A small service fee applies. Minimum transfer is PKR 5.

Automatic settings SMS
If manual APN entry does not work, send "all" to 2161. Zong sends a device-optimized configuration profile. This works for most feature phones and smartphones.
Troubleshooting
- USSD codes only work when you are on the Zong network. Check the carrier name on your screen.
- If *100# or *222# returns nothing, restart your phone and try again.
- Roaming: USSD codes may not be available outside Pakistan. Use the Zong My Account app instead.
- If automatic SMS setup does not arrive within 10 minutes, manually enter the APN shown in the table above.
- For Huawei modems, ensure the connection number is *99# and not *99***1# unless your specific model requires it.
- Blackberry devices (OS 10+) may require APN type set to internet+mmms for MMS to work alongside internet.
